I have read that Edge supports the use of Chromecast to send from a webpage. In particular I quote this link How to Cast Media from Microsoft Edge to Google Chromecast "The “Cast tab” will find all the Chromecast devices on your network. And you can choose which device you want to send the media to." Well, it doesn't! If you are still having issues, make sure your WiFi network name does not have any special characters in it. There have been reports that Chromecast doesn’t work well with special characters. If you are running DD-WRT, make sure you are updated to the latest firmware and reboot the router.
