ASUS RT-AC66R Review - Home Network Admin
Feb 13, 2016 · So in the last 2 days my router decided it was going to randomly reboot. Has maybe 10-15 minutes of uptime. No warning, just poof its restarting. The system log resets every time so I dont have any reason that I can find as to why. Was using Merlin, when this started I updated to the newest Asus - RT-AC66R. Ip Address: 192.168.1.1. Open a web browser and The rt-ac66r seems to be Best Buy specific, same packaging can't pull specs for it from the Asus website. The rt-ac66u is sold everywhere else and has a working support page through the Asus website. As far as I can tell they are almost identical in features, design, and description. Asuswrt-Merlin ===== This is an enhanced version of Asuswrt - the firmware used by all recent Asus routers. The goal of this project is to fix issues and bring some minor functionality adjustments to the original Asus firmware. While some features do get added, this is not the main focus of this project.
